| University of Alberta | Awarded to students on a study permit with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta. Selection based on academic standing and demonstrated leadership qualities based on involvement in extracurricular and community activities. Documentation required for admission must be submitted for scholarship consideration by the scholarship deadline. This includes transcripts showing all completed courses, grades to date and proof of English Language Proficiency.

| Queens University | Offers major entrance scholarships/awards to Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, ranging in value from CDN$6,500-12,000/year for all four years.. Details and applications available on their website.
Queen’s also has international entrance scholarships, valued at CDN$9,000 for one year only, for non-Canadian applicants. No separate application is required. | Simon Fraser University | Offers international entrance scholarships for UWC students. For Canadian students, a number of scholarships ranging in value from CDN$7,000-34,000 are offered. Some of these require applications, others don’t.See their website for more details. |
| University of Alberta Entrance Awards | Alberta offers several partial to full scholarships, ranging in value from CDN$1,000-50,000 (for academic excellence, scholastic distinction, leadership, faculty nominated, track and field, and IB Diploma). See this page for details; applications available online. Note that you must apply to an undergraduate programme before you can apply for any entrance awards. |
| University of British Columbia | International Major Entrance Scholarships (IMES) are awarded to exceptional international students entering undergraduate programs at UBC. Students receive their IMES when they enter their first year at UBC, and the scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years of study.
The Outstanding International Student (OIS) Award is a one-time, merit-based entrance scholarship awarded to qualified students when they are offered admission to UBC. Students selected for this award show strength academically and display involvement outside of the classroom. Major entrance scholarship (MES) for Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Students will be automatically considered for this scholarship if they apply to UBC through the online application. This is the only way to apply for a MES Value: $5,000-$25,000 |
| University of Ontario Institute of Technology | Global Leadership Award for International Students, worth CDN$30,000 per year for four years. |
| University of Regina | The scholarship is automatically awarded to undergraduate students on a study permit who are applying for admission directly from a secondary school (or equivalent) into a direct-entry undergraduate program. Students must have an early-conditional admission average of 85.00% or higher and be enrolled in nine credit hours in the semester the award is presented.Value: $3,000 |
| University of Saskatchewan | Offers three different kinds of international entrance scholarships, ranging in value from CDN$10,000–20,000, which are one-time awards only. These are the International Excellence Awards, and the IB Excellence Awards. Students are additionally eligible for the Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships. |
| University of Toronto | Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship – a full scholarship intended for outstanding international students with high financial need, who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership within their school, and the potential to contribute to the global community. Requires a school nomination, and we can only nominate one candidate.

| University of Waterloo | Scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding international students admitted to Year One of an undergraduate degree program. International students admitted with an admission average of 90% or above will be considered. Selection will be based on academic achievement combined with any other Faculty-specific entrance scholarship criteria. An application isn’t required.
